There are a two ways a trip could get cancelled… we cancel it or you cancel it.

If we cancel a trip for any reason we will contact you as early as possible and rebook or refund your money in full. Reasons we would cancel a trip include:

Bad Weather- Rain is not necessarily bad weather. The only thing we are really concerned with is lightning or severe storms. After all, this is an outdoor adventure activity. You’re going to get a little wet anyway.

River Flow- The Neuse River needs to be between 100 and 800 CFS (Cubic Feet per Second) for us to run trips. Luckily for you, most of the time it falls in between those two numbers.

See the Neuse River Flow here or learn more about how the Neuse River flow is controlled

Cold Weather or Water (or both)- We use a rule where the water temperature + air temperature has to equal at least 120. For example, if the water temperature is 70 and the air temperature is 60, 70+60=130 and we are good to run trips. If it is 50 degrees outside and the water is 50 degrees, 50+50=100 and we would cancel the trip.

Pirates- This one is pretty self explanatory
