Children must be 5 years or older to participate in any of Paddle Creek’s trips. Don’t try to draw a mustache on your 4-year old, we’ll notice. Then there will be this awkward, “How old is your kid?” moment and nobody wants that.

Children must be 8 years or older to go alone in a solo kayak.

Children between 5 and 8 years old are welcome to ride in a tandem kayak or canoe with an adult.

Extra Kid in a Canoe

If you’d like to put a 3rd person in a canoe they must meet the age requirement above and also be under 100 pounds. There is no middle seat in our canoes, so they will sit on the floor of the canoe. We are happy to provide an extra life jacket to sit on if needed.

Kids in the Van

Unfortunately, we cannot transport any children that require a car or booster seat.

**Bratty kids and/or biters will have to help clean the kayaks after the trip**
