Beaverdam is our favorite place in the Triangle for kayaking on a lake. There are no powerboats allowed, so it is only paddle and sail boats. There are restrooms, a small beach area, and a nice boat launch. Some times of the year they charge a small fee to get in. So if you are going to do a take-away rental, this would be our suggestion.
