Kayaks
We use Jackson Riviera solo kayaks and Jackson Rivi-T tandem kayaks. Quite possibly the easiest to use kayaks on the market, the Rivera and Rivi-T were inspired by a group of outfitters who wanted kayaks that were very stable, easy to paddle, comfortable, required no maintenance, and fit paddlers of almost any size. As sit-on-top style kayaks they are easy to get in and out of and safe should you capsize. All of our kayaks and canoes are available for both Take-Away Rentals as well as our Neuse River trips. We sell all of our kayaks each Fall and buy new ones each Spring, so our kayak fleet is always in great condition. No beater-boats here.

Canoes
Our canoes are Mad River Explorer 15’s. They are made out of Royalex, a lightweight, very durable (and unfortunately, no longer available) material. They have webbing seats, a contoured yolk, and 850lb capacity. Spacious enough for day touring or weekend tripping, you’ll find the Explorer 15 quite nimble in tight, twisty waterways. Adventure solo or tandem from lakes to rivers and creeks and back again with confidence in this versatile canoe.
